I'm really looking forward to the new Chronicles of Narnia film - Prince Caspian.I loved reading the books as a child and I've seen some great preview clips of the film and interviews with various cast members.I'm looking forward to seeing how close they stay to the book and whether or not it will be as good as the first film.I've heard that this one is a lot darker then the original...but it will have its humourous moments with Reepicheek the fearless mouse - he's a great character.

Kate also discovered recently that Suzanne Toase (Little Red Riding Hood from Into The Woods) is going to be in the next Harry Potter film playing Death Eater Alexo Carrow.We were both really excited as we loved her as little red and can't wait to see her performing a different role.From what I've read the HP fans think she'll do a good job too.

I haven't seen the new Narnia yet either. I really want to. I never read the books as a child, but I will be getting them and reading them to AJ.

I read somewhere that HP 7 is going to be split into two movies. They didn't want to leave anything out since so much is important to the end. HP 6 is due out this November, I believe. I'm looking forward to that one too.

I saw Prince Caspian when it opened here. Really is good and yes quiete different from the book. But true enough Reepicheek saves the day!
Very well done!
Can't wait for the next HP movie and if Suzanne Toase is in it, I'll be sure to go see it!

Is anyone else other than myself and Sasha watching SYTYCD? I think we've agreed that our top three couples/six people are Chelsie/Mark, Katee/Joshua, and Kherington/Twitch. It's so hard to say at this point which of the six will win, but I'm SO looking forward to more from them!

I actually got to watch So you think you can dance last night, and boy the Kherrington character really does not cut it for me.
Katie is a little gem and her partner, wow, very strong. The tall one I think is Twitch?
Surprisingly good!
I do not watch it often so I do not get the names right most of the times.
They all dance well but sounds like they just switched off partners so I guess I caught it when they were all
trying to fit in with each other.
They are all pretty good though some certainly stand out.
Like I said, Katie is the one who impressed me last night the most.

I watched the Movie 'Meet the Spartan's' last weekend. There are alot of spoofs to keep up with and some I did not understand as I did not know who the spoof was about, but most of it was rather funny and I laughed quite a bit. I just love the Spartan way of 'marching'. Still gets a giggle out of me!
If you like spoofs and have not seen this one, it's worth it!

I was shocked when Chelsie didn't make the finals. Courtney is good, but I thought Chelsie had more stage presence.

I'm not surprised that Katee and Joshua are in the finals. And Twitch made it too! Alas, I may have to miss it tonight . My sister is in town for tonight only, and we promised our mom we'd go see the new Mummy movie with her. BUT, I FINALLY figured out how to get my VCR to work with my cable so that we can record it! Now, I just have to depend on Tony to actually hit record! I really need a DVR or Tivo . . .

I'm rooting for Katee. She's just been so impressive the whole season. I love Joshua and Twitch too, but Katee is still my favorite.

Potter film release date delayed

Order of the Phoenix was the top-grossing UK film in 2007
The release date for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been pushed back by eight months, to July 2009


Check this out, they are delaying the HP movie by 8 month!... back to the books to keep up!
Don't they know that old 'little' ladies like me can't keep remembering where we are with the movies?
Not very nice, though might not be a bad Idea to read the entire set of books again.

I think it's awful that Harry Potter has been delayed, they don't even seem to give a proper reason. I wonder if it may have something to do with Daniel Radcliffe appearing in Equus in USA when they would want him to be attending premiere's and doing promotional work for the film.

I caught up on a few movies I'd wanted to see for a while; The Jane Austen Book Club, The Other Boleyn Girl and Atonement. They were all ok but none of them really thrilled me.Atonement was very sad throughout and I found the scenes of the beach where they were evacuating the soldiers very poignant - particuarly when they were singing.

On a brighter note, It's good to see that Strictly Come Dancing will be back on UK TV soon.I love this show and it looks like they have some interesting celebs taking part this year.

I read in a mag the other day something about Rex from this year's Big Brother (didn't watch it but this just caught my eye). It said that his father hosted a celeb party at his restaurant Beach Blanket Babylon - the place where I met Nick for the first time in 2006!

I saw the film The Duchess and really enjoyed it, despite it being quite a sad film. I had not read the book prior to seeing the film so all I knew was that the film was about a distant relative of Diana, Princess of Wales and how she was married into a loveless marriage.It was quite an interesting film though and I would recommend it.
I also want to see The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas, The Women and a film I saw advertised called Easy Virtue starring Colin Firth, Jessica Biel, Kristin Scott Thomas and Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian) - the last two films looked pretty funny.

Strictly Come Dancing is back this week which I'm really looking forward to it - it's going to be the longest series so far as they have more contestants than ever before.
I think a new series of Lewis will also be coming shortly - I was at Blenheim Palace yesterday when they were filming and although I didn't see Kevin Whateley or Laurence Fox, I did see quite a few extras and crew members. I shall definitely be watching that episode when it airs.

I want to see The Duchess and The Women - they both look like good films. There was a series on recently called The Children, which also starred Kevin Whately, and it was really good - quite chilling in that it was about the events leading up to a child being murdered, but it was very good.

I watched the Last Night of the Proms of course - brilliant as always, although I missed the Hornpipe this year! Wasn't right without it. x

Okay, AGT this year was great! My top two favorites were Neal E. Boyd, and Nuttin' But Stringz.

Neal won, singing opera. He's really good!

Donald Braswell was fourth. He's good! He'll definitely do well in musical theatre.

Strings from the hood, pretty good!
Though it would be much better with less of the fanfaring blasts in the back ground, those fireworks take away from the actual music... not bad though, certainly would want to check them out live.

And the tenor is not bad either, I have never watched that show, might want to take a gander at it.

The latest rage, according to my daughter, is the vampire/romance movie "Twilight."
Has anyone seen it yet? I started reading the book, just to see if it was appropriate for my daughter to read. It's not Anne Rice, but I could see how the teenage girls would find it intriguing. The author, Stephenie Meyer, uses interesting choice of words at least.
